When can we expect an iPhone 5 release date?
At this point with the iPhone 4s being just released the iPhone 5 release date will probably be anywhere from 4-12 months from now. Mid 2012 sounds like a realistic time frame for the iPhone 5 release as it would make no sense for Apple to launch an iPhone 4s only to have it outdated a few months later with the iPhone 5.
What are some of the features we can expect for the iPhone 5?
When we do finally see the iPhone 5 release date you can expect to see an upgraded screen (possibly a 4 inch screen and maybe even 3D). Another camera upgrade although the 4S just received one. Possibly 1080p recording capabilities as well. One huge feature Apple is rumored to be working on is the 4G connectivity for Apple products. The problem remains with 4G products in the battery life of the gadget. If Apple can manage to keep a long battery life for the phone and add 4G capabilities that would be a huge upgrade. What price will the iPhone 5 be?
At this point it’s too early to speculate. Apple tends to keep all of their products that are launching in the same price range (with a 2 year contract). However, if a feature such as 4G connection was added that could up the price significantly. Another rumor surfacing as of late is the idea of a contract free phone from Apple. This could be the iPhone lite or just another plan Apple works out for the iPhone 5.
Why wasn’t the iPhone 5 released in 2011?
As we approached October many felt that the iPhone would launch alongside the iPhone 4S. As it turns out that was the original plan. The iPhone 5 was suppose to feature a new sleek teardrop design and thinner build but the technology wasn’t available in time for the iPhone 5 to receive all it’s updates and package them in such a unique and tiny frame. Apple decided to wait until the new year for the technology to become available and instead give massive upgrades to the iPhone 4S which is built in the same fashion as the iPhone 4.
